What type of GPS is everyone using or what other methods are being used to get the speed of your boat? Thanks

Garmen E-trex works for me. Small and reasonably light. Waterproof and quite cheep. I paid $80 for mine on e-bay.

Theres probably more to choose from these days but just dont get too fancy as they can sink too [X(]

I had a Garmin 12 series until I was getting off the Fountain Lightning at the dock one day and dropped it into the watta. I tried to pick it up with one one of those rubber coated magnets that are supposed to lift 250lb's but all it did was pick up muck and trash. It was about $100.00. Ken.

I am using a Garmin Geko. Weighs only 3oz. I cut a depression in a small block of styrofoam and rubber banded it to it. Hope it can survive a bad crash and float. It is waterproof so it won't bother it.
