I just can't do it!!!
I was about to put the zen back in to my shockwave and thought it was just a waste. I have seen some nice cat builds here so figured thats what I'm going to do? Any suggections on a nice forgiving cat to build for a part time racer?

Have you checked out Expresscraft.
they have many cats to pick from.
you might want to ask XXX boatworks on boat to fit your needs .
He knows there hulls and will give you good advice

I' ll check out expresscraft. I was looking at Ac cats and the blast cat sounds a little slow and the looks of the cats there doesn't quite do it for me.

yes all of them !!
I picked the MTI cat, but I was looking at the Super cat too !
Systems cat is very cool! I have not seen to many people building them ! I was told it's a good hull !
Thunderbolt is very popular cat, many builds on RCU now !

Guys, the expresscrafts are great cats but they are not heat racers.....they are more for speed. If you want a competitive cat hull look at these:
Aeromarine avenger
Seducer cat
Insane gen 2 cat
Strker cat
Sprint cat
Blast cat

The aeromarine Conquest Cat is an offshore style but handles awesome and l have had good results with mine at the lake havasu race at the london bridge. I would have to say I saw more Aeromarine Cats there than any other too!

For those with beer pockets and champagne dreams... You can't beat the value of an Aeromarine hull.
They are cheap and high quality.

Like all hulls there are always things that need to be done to make them better.
The reports I've of the hulls seperating are due to bouy strikes during a race.
I haven't heard of any other problems.
