haha left it there overnight to dry ,its a bit cold in the shed this time of year when the heatings off.heres a cpl more pics got the sides on and test fitted the engine its just sat in there at the moment ,fits ok good job the rails werent any narrower or it wouldnt fit lol it just clears both rails but the mounting bolts have a cpl inches clearance so alls well.have just enough room to put the rubber mounts on the engine mount, when i make it that is!!.by the way thats my spare engine not the one im putting in the boat but its the same engine.the one thats going in has a walb carb fitted ,i just had that one handy so i test fitted it.

Hi mate im glad to hear you got all yer bits now get em put in the boat and get it wet!!.I havent got too much to report on my build apart from i glassed all the rails and frames in,i also glassed the seams for the sides too so it should be a strong boat.i trimmed the edges of the hull and sanded it ready to epoxy coat all i need now is to make my chines as the way i did the hull the bottom over laps the sides no biggie though.by the way weighed the boat as it is now and its under 4 1/2 pounds so should be a lite boat too.

Thanks Ian it looks like you made a few changes to the transome on the boat did you put the rudder and strut further back ? does it make her run better? if so how far back is the prop now from the transome.i have nearly all i need to get her finnished now apart from the rudder, im going to try and make one from ali. i have some billet and some angle anyone got any ideas or pics of any i could get some ideas from.

Front face prop/rudder 100mm from transom. Built this way from the start so can't say if it runs better or not.
Can't do much worse than look at the aeromarine rudder for simplicity and strength. Don't forget a kickup function in case you hit something hard [:@]

dont forget to cable tie some pipe insulators. to the stringers to stop the engine sinking when your boat gets that killer one touch and disintigrates

Hi all, The boat looks great mate, It's the same looking motor as mine, are you going to watercool it?. I am going to put 2 air scoops in the forward deck and duct fresh air by pipe down to the engine. I only flew home from work last night so i havent even looked at mine yet.(had to satisfy the wife)(it's been 9 days away)
