Your question is too general to really answer. Are you talking a Pro Boat Bud or something else? Also, for around $100, you're not going to get much

i know nothing about these but see your striving for help. The main Miss Bud was made and distributed by Proboat. They apparently have since seized making them. The hulls were reportadly not the best of quality as were many other components. I have seen other versions of this boat on this site including homemade concoxions(no idea how to spell that one) Here are what i see as the closest models to the Ms. Bud from Proboat however you may want to steer clear- ill let someone else with better knoledge help you out.

To make a long story short, when Budweiser pulled their sponsorship from the Miss Budweiser team a few years back, they also pulled the manufacturing license from Pro Boat/Horizon. You can get the Llumar or Elam Plus, which are almost identical to the Bud, but they will require a lot of work to get them to run like a hydro should due to poor balancing, light lay ups and a score of other problems. If you still want one, you can get one of the available boats and repaint it, as the graphics are available through several sources. A less expensive option might be to build one yourself from plans and aircraft grade plywood.

You can find the Proboat 1/8 Miss Buds on ebay. If you go that route, I would start with an empty hull and buy all new hardware for it as the stock set-up is garbage. To make this boat run right, $100 is not going to do much. Here is a link to all my mods which will easily run you a few hundred dollars:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4900779/tm.htm

If I were you, I would start with these links for a 1/8 Miss Bud:
http://www.finedesignrc.com/hullshydromarine.asp
http://rcmarinedesigns.20megsfree.com/scale.htm
http://206.206.85.209/xtdoc/catalogu...e&store=mhzusa

Also try www.newtonmarine.com for scale plans if you want to build your own as suggested. You'll be much happier in the long run and will probably save more money as well.

http://www.finedesignrc.com/hullshydromarine.asp and this one http://206.206.85.209/xtdoc/catalogu...e&store=mhzusa ... but i dont really know how much $$ it would cost for the hardware....

No

If your looking for a gasser for $300 bucks thats a hard find. You might find one of them e-bay special 150 mph boats for that much [:'(].

Seriously though check the buy and sell section here and see what you can find for $300

The only boat with that kind of speed in your price range is the nitro powered Miss Vegas. It's powered by a .18 and will get up to around 35 mph out of the box after breaking in the engine

man for 300 bucks you have a slim chance. I got into it for about 500 for a used boat with a cheap homelite about7 years ago. 300 is a long stretch. I bought another boat for 350 with a blown engine.

I wouldn't touch that E-Bay boat for nothing. A no-name radio set, doesn't say anything on servos which tells me it doesn't have a rudder since it has twin motors. It's an overpriced toy.

The volan is made by ABC hobbies which is a brand name. It's quite a few steps above toy, but is not as advanced as many other models.

If your going to go electric - 'Aquacraft Super Vee27' www.aquacraftmodels.com right around $300 but you will also need batteries and charger.

Go back and reread his first posting as he asked what kind of hop-ups that can be done to a Miss Bud for another C-note.
First, I'd start off with a better sharpened and balanced prop. Remember that the supplied prop is neither and props that large can be very out of balance.
