Big lump of wood that butchers put animals on to chop them to bits with cleavers, axes, hacksaws etc.

Gets lots of dings and gouges in it over time.

Why, have you got a boat that looks like one?

Your kinda confused. It's called a "Butch Block". Origonally designed by Butch Fields. It is an aluminum block that is used to hold the stuffing tube where it goes thru the botom of the tunnel on Cats mostly. It is bolted in and eliminates the need for fiberglass work when installing the stuffing tube. They make them with different angles for installations in Hydro's and Riggers too. V hull guys are out of luck! LOL Brian

You probably don't want to use one for chopping up animals on then!!

Will make a mess in your boat.

Noooo It's so you can install it easier. Whatever setup you use, you should have an 11/32" tube thru the hull for the stuffing tube to slide thru. That way replacing the stuffing tube is a snap. Brian

You can still chop turtles, alligators and water moccasins with a Butch block installed, but not reccommended.
