Ken let them buy one if they want one,get a gps reading of the boat running that should prove one thing that the motor is strong and fast.Tahoe there are plenty of videos of Daves zen 7 running over 60 mph in monos on the site if you look ,that will give you some idea how well they run heres a link to one of the early test runs i hope Dave doesnt mind me posting it.sure i know its not proof of anything but it does show how fast this motor is .I can understand Daves reluctance to send a motor for testing as there are too many people who have allready made up theire minds without even seeing one run,i def wouldnt send mine if i were Ken id rather hold onto it and run it .

Its about time you experts let it drop. You attack me and then you attack someone who bought a motor from me in the US and then accuse him of all kinds of things which have nothing to do with this thread, I guess the Norwegian racer who posted here will be next. Its a free country but whats being put here doesnt make very nice reading. I've raced in the far east and most countries in Europe and never came across such smallminded comments. Its a big world out there and I recommend that you don't underestimate people you dont know because in my racing experience thats not a wise thing to do.

Drop it?No one is putting down europeon racing or europeon engine tuners, its a simple matter of questioning a claim. Instead of an answer we get cheap shots at the US, racing in the US and US engine tuners. How dare us cretins question the esteemed and almighty europeon racer with no US records to back up claim.

60 mph from a 7.3 hp? our heating racing boats with only 6 hp go faster, SAW boats even faster.This is the sort thing that makes us question the 7 hp claim.

This seems to be a DOUBTING DAVE'S CLAIMS situation. Where does your roll play in this? Because you hold the pom poms and chant rah rah daves the man if he cant do it nobody can rah rah while hes racing, you feel the need to back up claims of a motor you still have NO experience with. Until recently, you've never even had a STOCK zenoah of your own.

Once again.... what Ken and BBmods says about how the Zen7 runs, does NOT state fact that the motor runs exactly how a 7.3hp motor is supose to. No GPS readings, no Radar/Laser readings, no tach readings, nothing.... only "words" that a QD boat could not keep up. THAT PROVES WHAT? There were QD boats that could not keep up with my QD boat at the last race... does that mean mine makes 1hp more then theirs? Can you actually answer that question?


A disgrace to myself and country, and thats a fact? You might wanna start rethinking your words... and quick.




btw my mono ran 57.7mph with a zenoah that didnt even make 6hp. With 7.3hp.... should be able to run at least 70

I left the thread open last night in hopes the direction might go positive – unfortunately several did not want that to happen. Sorry to see a potentially valuable thread with inputs from several people with talent go so far down hill.

We cannot allow members to be referred to as liars and thieves. If you have a personal beef with someone the forum is not the place to exercise it.

If I learned one thing from reading the thread it is that the only people who have good things to say about Daves motor are the guys who have had one (or seen one in action).
