RE: apache owners
I think Pates runtimes are between 8-10 mins on the 6s 5000 mah lipos, also he could go with two lipos on each motor if he wanted but then the weight goes up also.I think his runtimes are pretty good no doubt he has a spare set of lipos to carry on playing when the first set dies.
I love the coolness of having all that power(8hp) instantly when you hit the throttle, thats why im planning a similar setup on my Arrow hull very soon.
Pate,s hull was built by me and i kept the layup light using glass x carbon layup, hull weighed in at 8.5 lb if memory serves.

I have not timed runs yet with these motors.
I´ll try to remember that when I drive it next(later today) I think that 5-8 minutes should be close to truth) -a bit slower speeds with smaller props and 6s2p I think it could be driven close to 15 minutes without heat issues .

RE: apache owners
Just got back from testing minor mods... no gps but decent speed. 7 minutes of driving and the motors do draw more juice then the t600´s I had in this b4. -lipos were warm and slightly puffed after 3+4 minute runs .After they cooled down they were fine. So I need to get another set of lipos so I can plug them to 2p config.
Motors, esc´s about 5o deg. C.
So I would say that 6-7minutes per pack is easy to do with this. -and if one would have more batteries to use the time would be better, temps were really low so another 7 minutes would be fine . -2p should give 10-14 minutes of fun so not too bad.

That is a sick paint job. Very nice ! I would be afraid to run it, it looks like you have to drill holes now . Keep us posted on this build ! Apache 50 - build in progress!

RE: apache owners
Thanks man. I run from my real boat on a large lake so its pretty safe - plus I have a killer bee kill switch. I was going to drill the holes myself but I left the boat with a trusted professional that lives near me. He just got the stinger installed!

RE: apache owners
Hi guys
heres my 58" Apache by Martin over her in the uk, based on the RCMK theme. running the K600s ( stock ) ive changed the coils to Zenoah and replaced the iso blocks to ali ones. running a pair of MHZ waterpumps via modified under hull pick ups.
Clutch / Gearbox by WD200 as is the steerable drives, all rails a carbon other than the main engine rails which are carbon - Ply - Carbon laminated with epoxy under a 1 ton press then CNC machined to shape.
Radio is Futaba 4PK 2.4Ghz, running a pair of BLS-157HV servos ( Total 74KG ) on 7.4V, throttle servo is a S3501HV, Failsafe is from Killer RC SuperBee Twin.
Pipes are QD Deep "V" mated to MHZ angled flanges, all up weight is around 16kg.
The props are 6717/3s by Chris Dasboata turning Outwards direction.
Bob.

Wow I was looking at my original post and this year it will be 5 years. I still have my 56" apache. Been in a closet for years. Sold all my parts due to my first new born then went back to performance boating. Although I am still into performance boating I was into planes for a short time. I need to sell all my planes as I do not fly anymore. I have another performance boat project and always liked running my warehouse hobbies enforcer I had in college. So I want to get my apache out soon and rig it. At this time I am not sure what I want to do with it. I always like the SPD III drive on my enforcer and the pro modified zenoah it had. Not sure I want to spend the money on the scale stuff just yet. Maybe if I stick with it I will do another with scale drives.

Apache 56
Here are some pictures of my Apache. It was white with decals for a long time. It was raced and had some battle scars to show for it. Last year I decided to spend some time on it and to make it look good again. Now it is a fun sport boat. Hope you like it.

Haven't been here forever. I just uploaded pics to my gallery. Here's a link to some MHZ trim tabs I customize to control with a servo, 2 channels off a Nautical Commander remote.
