I want to replace my Fugi, what variety of Motors can i choose from, preferibly the cheapest, and can i still use the existing pipe?
Also, is it basically just a drop in or will it take more work? Thanks

RE: Rio Replacement Motor
Basicly your choice is between 2 either the zen or the sikk id go for the zen 260 gpum,a few guys have done that on their rios id change to an after market pipe and header also.

RE: Rio Replacement Motor
If you go sikk go with the smaller sikk it revs higher the bigger 27 cc one is for bigger boats to swing big props.Me personally id def go for a zen theyre more reliable in my opinion, theres been a bunch of sikks with problems occuring due to the 2 bolt jug etc.I have 2 zens a stocker and a full mod neither has been a problem so far,the stocker ive had over a year with no problems at all ,starts easy as does the full mod.

RE: Rio Replacement Motor
So say i buy a 260 gpum. What header do i need, and can i use the stock pipe? Also, is it a basic drop in, or do i need to modify it more?

RE: Rio Replacement Motor
As i dont own a Rio i cant say for sure,if you search the other Rio threads you should find what your looking for.I would def swap to a diff header if it were me,you will need a deep vee header to keep the pipe enclosed in the boat.

RE: Rio Replacement Motor
Check those Hanson 7/8" header pipes, you might find one to match your exist header shape, those headers and water flange won't crack and last forever.
