yeah, Ive seen that video but I am positive there is a lot more in that boat/motor combo. I have only read bad things about that hull on these forums but I think its because they arent set up correct.

That prop looks like it needs lots of work ,i allways thought hydro props needed to have pointy ears not rounded as they need lift.Props with rounded ears have no lift as i understand it?.Very nice boat though [sm=thumbs_up.gif].

Nah, prop looks good as it is
The leading edges of the prop are pretty sharp. The casting is very nice. It just needs to be polished, and balanced. The surface is very fine, like mat paint.

The fit of the parts are very good.
The hi and low needle screws are very long on the included carb, and the cowl can not be installed without it comming in contact with them.
I had a spare carb with shorter needles, and just installed them instead. The needle ends are exactly the same.

I also need to get a dynatron starter, as my trusty old Graupner starter barly will crank the engine around

Here are a few more pics.

Mart
Look at the bottom of the strut, there is plenty of lift in there, if he takes that strut out and instead put a round bottom strut in, he could increase 2-3 mph with a right rounded ear prop.

Not at all.

I bought it in Sweden, as this was the least expensive place I could find it within the EU.
Bought it here: http://butik.miniracingteknik.se/

It cost 14.200 swedish kroner , which is 1170 £ and 1750$ US or 1500 Euro, calculated with the rates here.

The stearman is nice, as is the ASP radial engine sound
Mine is not finished yet, but here is a picture of another RCU members:

Boat looks good, just out of interest, how bad is it for people complaining of noise where you run?

I'm thinking that pipe might be quite loud.

Looks like it will soon be on the water.

The pipe has a silencer on it, it shouldn't be too bad.

I've seen one of these run & they are impressive when set up right.

rcboateric, prop looks realy nice. [8D]

glennb2006, as the others have said, it has a silencer on it, so I hope the club accepts the noise it makes.
Otherwise, there is a lake in the middle of a freeway intersection nearby, where we also sail......no sound problems there

But if it is way too noisy, I would like to try a MHZ cooper reso pipe.......but it will probably kill performance.... i dont know.
I have not heard the engine run yet, as I can not crank the engine with my puney electric starter I have at the moment [:'(]

Your muffler would be fine that is the similar one we have been using here. my engines all used pull starters.

rcboateric, I wish it would have been a pull start engine....but ther is no room on the rear exhaust engine for it

JakeDW
Only the engine bay, and radio plate is carbon.

I found these pics of the boat being built
