Default Which Radio for Gasser

I have seen a few posts regarding the use of 2.4 ghz radios. I have to admit, I like the idea of using 2.4 as I will be operating my RC boat from inside my full size boat that has a wake board tower that will possibly get in the way of an FM radio antenna. Anyone have experience with the following radios?

1. Nomadio Sensor (already installed, but the boat has never been run yet)

2. Spektrum DX3S (currently being used for my Baja) but I have a spare Rx.

3. Original JR that came with the Shockwave 55. (im concerned about possible interferance from the wakeboard tower)

Any thoughts?

If I was buying NEW I would only get the Futaba Fasst 2.4, the Nomado might be OK too, I just haven't heard much feedback on it. I think JAW uses one.

I would go witht the FUTABA FASST 2.4 system also.. I have a couple and they work great !! I think that Futaba is offering a free 2n'd receiver on certain models now til APRIL....
I love the built in failsafe aspect of the radio. !!!

And right now if you buy a 3PK or 4PK system you get a second receiver for FREE!

FASST has been flawless for me.

Nomadio has been spot on for me to date. If it is already in there then why are you shopping for a radio?

I have used the Nomadio and Futaba FASST systems with great results. I've heard negative things about Spektrum systems in boats, but have no experience myself.

Futaba Fasst would be my choice also if I was buying new.
Also if you have a boat and have glitch problems try switching to NGK plug.
I am reading about more problems with Champion.
Also just my 2 cents here.
Those expensive radio's are great with the Fasst system intalled but remember these are boats and they are in the water and you will be also at one time or another.
I would go with the basic Futaba radio and the Fasst just in case you drop the radio in the water.
From what I have heard!

I'll cast my vote for the FASST systems. I've heard nothing but GOOD about the Nomadio radios however I can't speak from personal experiences. However, considering the extensive experiences that Justaddwata has with this hobby and the fact that he will trust a Nomadio with his $10,000+/- boats, I might listen to what he has to say.

From personal experience, steer clear of spektrum, I currently run the Airtronics DSSS system with no issues, but they have just released the FHSS system for their M11 radios. Which is my typical luck after I just spent hundreds swapping out all my spektrum gear to DSSS on my M11.

The Futaba FAST, Airtronics DSSS or FHSS or Nomadio will do you well.

i know some people have had bad experiences with spektrum but they have proved flawlesss for me. only got 2inches of antenna out of the hull in my apache and about an inch in my swashdrive but the DX3R has proved spot on. have heard alot of negative stuff about the DX3S on land and water from mates though........personal choice really

I went months without any issues with spektrum, then all of a sudden on 2 boats at 2 locations I started having issues. After that, never again.
