Default MOUNT question for CY26 owners

I've done the search...but no mention of manufacturers/distributors specifically.

Need mounts...found many for Zen/QD etc...I'm mounting it in a Rio. Will any Zen mount work? Links...suppliers?

Also...anyone have a routing schematic for the 2 -in - 2 -out water ports? Bottom 2 in.....top 2 out? Just making sure....

Are there any pre drilled ISO blocks on the market?

With dual inlets, will I need two pulse fittings, or a splitter? Or will I need the 2 in 2 out pump from Bonzi?

This is getting more complicated....but fun.

Thanks
John

John

Try Daves Discount Motors or O'neil Brothers Racing for Your SIKK Parts.

I did. Problem is, me being a gas rookie, it must say in black and white that it will fit a CY/SIKK, cause I dont know any better! LOL
I have looked and they all say Zenoah and or QD. The only ones I see that say Zenoah and clones (SIKK) are WHH composites, but the website is messed up right now. I shot Tony an email asking if they would work.

Thanks!
John

I'm striking out here...O'Neill's does't have em, Daves DM doesn't have em, Tony doesn't have em...nobody has em. I've also looked at practically distributor every link in this forum, and the only ones I can find are at Bonzi, but you have to drill and tap the motor brackets....I'm not into all that....not to mention over 60 bucks...AND have to D/T...

Thanks
John

Its like jacob711 said....cc racing has them. Yes you do have to drill a total of four holes through the front plate for the two brakets....no biggie. Then just use nuts & bolts. You dont have to tap the holes. Thats how I did it on mine and it worked out fine.

I've been getting my Sikk parts from Zac Price at www.americanrcboats.com .
Please don't keep editing your first posting as it makes things confusing for those of us further down or those reading it for the first time.
Do you have the stock Sikk motor mount? Use it. If it needs to be lower on the recoil end, a hacksaw will cut it down quickly. I hacked 3/4" off the bottom of mine to get it to set lower in my mono.
Just redrill the holes to make it fit, no big deal if you have a right-angle drive on a Dremel.
I'd avoid using the vacuum-operated water pumps too but if you insist on using one you can block off one intake and water exit fitting.

Sorry guys....didn't mean to make it confusing....I only edited the title to say "MOUNT" so it would be more specific, and maybe get more visibility...

Thanks Ron, I checked that site, but the only mounts I saw were for Zen/QD. The mount that goes on the starter end wont work on SIKK, it has the 3 hole pattern for ZEN, or if it does, somebody please show me, I'd like to make em work if possible...

Actually I found a set marketed by Venom Group. They are for thier KWA26 which I've been told is nearly identical to the CY26. I've been assured they will fit, but I was going to wait until I got them installed before I posted any results.

here's the link...

[link]http://www.venom-group.com/storeitems.asp?txtkey=VEN-1848[/link]

They are on the way, and as soon as I try them out, I will post so others may know.

Those on Ebay look kinda heavy....

Cheers
John

Default RE: MOUNT question for CY26 owners

Is the CY26 hard to pull at first? Even without a spark plug? I oiled the cylinder with some after-run, it helped some, but it is still very hard to pull over...

Just wondering if this is normal..

thanks
John

It's a brand new engine that's not been broken in yet. It will loosen up a little once you run it a while

That's what I wanted to hear!!

I kinda figured that, but being the gas rookie and all, I wasn't sure.

Thanks Scott!
