Default First Glass Boat

Hi all, I was given this hull by a good frend and fellow boater, he was having a moving clean out and decided to chuck it my way. The hull was made by a bloke called Goran in Melborne (Australia) Blatra Racing, 47in long and 11 1/2in wide, thats all I know. It has a few battle scares, I have sandedthe top and sides andwill fill the bad spots tomorrow. Power,Modded Zen Clone, no clutch, no twin rudders. Let me know what you think.

Peace and love, peace and love, maybe if you leave the flowers the other boaters will be so distracted you'll win ever race.
Good luck with your first non woody. Be sure to put a straight edge on it and check for hooks before you get to far along with the redo.

Hey Steve,
Yeah the guy that gave you that hull is one really nice fella

The hull has seen some use, been through the ringer a few times, re-fit at least three that I recall (possibly more, my memory is average these days).

As for the flowers.........................I know I know, but I was merely expressing my inner femininity on that one LOL, wasn't the best choice I admit

She was definately a great runner for sure, with all my moving and other "projects" and work of late I just needed to make space.

Steve inherited this hull for many reasons, I decided I'd donate it to a good mate whom has helped me whenever I have needed it pondside. (And he's a top bloke whom has dedicated his time to scratch building a few boats to learn the ropes......................that is awesome and certainly something everyone should have a crack at to understand boats better). I couldn't think of a more deserving local Perth guy for this hull.

Over the years, many boaters the world over have assisted me in various ways (advice, parts etc), this is but a small way that I am able to give back to others.

I did run it with a CY head for a little while, the 95kmh ish was with a Zen though..............that said, she will run hard either way. Once you get her beautified again and everything mounted, let me know and I'll set her up on the water for you. This one can be a bit tricky if not set up right, but you will have ALOT of fun with her.

I am happy you are happy mate. It shouldn't take you long to have her back up and running.

Goran builds a strong hull, I didn't know he did a Mach 11 but it looks good. with that ride pad you will want to pay close attention to your side to side balance while building. Should be a winner!

A few more changes to the hull.

1. Shorten the hull to allow for steves favorite rudder setup.....

2. Run without exhausts.

3. And no floatation....

I must stop this NOW!!!!!!

Yes I think Ross is bord today, Mr mike, I will be putting a stinger onit, so with the ride pad and side balance should i mount the trim tabs as close to the bottom of the v as possible???.
Got a bit done today, It had a knock in the nose at some stage and was a bit loose in the join, so i mixed up some resin and tiped it in, the light is to heat the hull to make it go off faster.
Also stripped the clutch of the motor and got the radio gear together.
My Uncle brought a 200mmX300mm cutting area cnc router, so the rest of the day was taken up with designing a radio box and loading it all on to the CAMBAM program, we will be cutting it tomorrow and see if I got all the measurements correct. Will have photos of that tomorrow.
