It depends on weather you're keen to build or not. Alot of guys will say the RTR packages. But if you're a little bit handy and want to spend a couple of weeks building it I'd definetly go with the Easy Vee. So much more satsfying building it you're self, its nearly as fun as driving them. Plus by the time you've finished you'll have a complete understanding of how everything works. Check out a few Easy Vee build threads, they are an awesome hull.
Cheers, Chris

I have to agree with Mart on this one. If you want to go RTR or ASSEMBLE YOURSELF, look at the Enforcer line. These boats are built to take a beating and still give decent speed. If you want to talk to someone that has one, talk to Doubledog, he's had several

I agree, hull looks good Mart, though it looks a little low in the freeboard to be run in an unprotected cove or bay if run in the salt. Even at 48", I wouldn't try to run it in Puget Sound. We get swells to over 48" at times so the boat would probably end up looking like a submarine

If you are going to run in big water; the Easy Vee is not what you are looking for unless you put a cowling on it; I am putting spray rails on mine now to try and keep the water out of it; I normally run in 4 to 6" chop or greater.

This is the boat for the big water; not the fastest but you will have a hard time flipping it or getting it wet inside.

Well i ran mine for over a year in some pretty terrible conditions guess how many times i flipped her? ok ill tell you ZERO thats none, stock zenoah running 40 mph or more .If you want to run in large seas then i suggest getting a real boat these things are just toy boats yaknow .Its all good though i couldt give a monkeys wether you think it will or wont handle rough water as i know what i know ,yup i get plenty protective over my boats [sm=punching.gif].One of the best running rough water boats i know is the whhobies enforcer team pro theyre not big boats but they handle plenty,in fact its 46" same as mine .As i keep telling the missus size isnt everything .

I would have to vote the Enforcer Line of boats.
They are made here and are just awesome for the RTR line.
I have one and love it even though its older it still is awesome and on some chop it is way to fun.

I've got a proboat BJ55 and if I started over and liked v hulls I'd go with Warehouse Hobbies boats.

To date I haven't found anyone that makes a really good RTR catamaran kit.

I like the looks and purpose of a catamaran and will likely build another one. Possibly electric this time.

Thing is Brod he wants something to run in the sea not a flat calm pond, those cats are ideal for those conditions theres no doubt but they dont like it rough im sure you will agree. Most cats should come with handles on the bottom so when they end up upside down you can easily pick em up ,just joking .

I would put a deep VEE against a Cat RC that is any day of the week.
Cat boats are good but they are not that great when it comes to RC as far as I can see.
Rough water will take advantage of any RC boat really
