Hendric you talking about the outboard that has only been a prototype for so many years. Probably one day we would see it run in anger.

Howzit Guys !...wow !!! ...the boat's are looking GRAND !!!.....beautiful builds ! & beautiful Outboard Units - absolutely stunning !!!!

I have stopped producing the outboard legs and pipes for now - so it is great to see such great new OB products coming online

I have been out of the game for almost two years now !.....will be back next year launching a 1/4 scale F1 inboard fast electric class which we will be racing locally..A far less expensive set up ( simple strut and rudder) with more options of usage....

Busy building an OB for Kenya !!!!....first hull into Africa for me -amazing - sent boats to most every other continent ...except my own.

Other than that - still loving the surfing and building of the********s !!!!...

Cheers

Its definitely some outstanding quality craftsmanship, just a shame we haven't seen one running yet, would be a real head turner for sure.

Wasn't he also building a larger F1 hull to suit this scale outboard ?

Cheers

The weight and complexity of such a v6 unit would not yield the same results as well modded 26. It is a beautiful engineering and machine job, but that is where it would stay. Would never become commercial. Now the leg at the other hand with some input from racers could become a nice venture but he has not taken it any further.

Hi Joe - unfortunately !.....the global Gas OB demand in recent times does not warrant myself manufacturing further batches of units.

From my own extensive racing experience - you should only have to 'replace' the 'lead teflon bushes' every so often....all other components should hold up well...

In your case 'wanting the longer skeg' drive shaft assembly' - as with the upgraded legs - I am needing to machine up a drive shaft housing and slot it to complete the job...making one single unit is not viable.....

You could have a machine shop add S/S plate to you skeg to lengthen it - start with about 20 mm (4/5th") - that should do it...

As for the AMAZING SCALE UNIT above !......mind-blowing - an absolute labour of love - craftsmanship at its highest - however - as Cobus said - commercially - if AFFORDABILITY is not part of the equation It will not feature...

Hi Joe !

My plan with the electric F1 tunnel is to keep it as simple and 'affordable' as possible - SUSTAINABLE FUN- It will be an Inboards - utilizing the standard strut and rudder set up....I am wanting to attract a wider range of participants to the class - young and old / male and female - Electric is 'plug and play' - can be managed and maintained easier - I will be designing the set up around an 8s battery power set up - so that 4s batteries (fairly common size) can be run in series - keeping the expense down...

Looking to achieve speeds of around 80km/h.....anything over that will just make it 'to fast' for good racing......

With that leg hanging so far of the back I assume you have a whole nother boat stuffed in the nose to get the CG right?

What made you decide on 27%. YPC's are normally build more to 30%. And with a lawless leg on the back the guys have to sometimes add as much as 500gr in the nose to get the cg right? Looks good though a bit big in relation to the boat. Good luck hope it runs great.

did not want to add any more weight that I has to. 27 works for me on our oval course. I still have water bag to use if needed. if I extend the cowl it might not look so funny. test mode first, then looks.

Change of pace !...

Took some time out to build my younger son a FE F1 Tunnel Hull...the hull is one of my YPC designs and products...
Very happy with the first launch - water grass was fowling the skeg on the leg and we still dont have th eright prop size..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Diu8vM00FD0 Still to build the HVFE 1/4 scale !.....

Getting faster and faster .....really a sweet unit - handles better than it ever did with the Nitro set up !
