Default winter storage for engines

Well its getting to that time of year here in Illinois so it looks like I'm gonna have to put the boat away for the season. What do I need to do with the engine is there anything special other than draining the fuel? Is it OK to add a fuel stabilizer to my gas tank? I have about 2 gallons of fuel left. She I bring the engine inside or is it ok in the garage?

is it an attached garage? if so, shouldn't be an issue, fuel might even be ok next seaason (but you could mix it in to your cars gas tank in small doses to get rid of it)

tygon fuel tubing is known for hardening if left out of fuel, same with carb diaphragms, stick some stabilizer in the fuel, run it enough to get it in the carb and leave it with half a tank, should handle fine, that's more than most people do for their chainsaws and weedeaters.

I run mine low on fuel shut it down and let it sit
with these new synthetic oils sitting seems to be no problem
Just don't let it sit for 6 plus months straight and expect it to run crazy when u pull it back out!
It will need some fresh mix run through it to come alive again
