Doesn't it make you wonder how much pissin' and moanin' went on when the Zenoah 231 came out and was whippin' on all of those Homie's? When the Sikk came out the Zen lovers were trying to find any way that they could do discredit it and now they've got a bigger fight on their hands! Now the Thunderboat class wants to run Zen only. Well, there's one class that I'll never build a boat for then! To me that's like saying that I can only drive a Chevy or a Ford as it favors only one engine company.

OK, OK, I'm stepping off my soap box now.

I'm assuming you're speaking of an actual coupler to mate the two Evo's together, right?......NOT the collet.

There is a member here who machies stock aluminum amd makes a very nice coupler bracket. The name slips me now, but that actually reminds me I still have one of his units in my shop for the RCMK. Hopefully he chimes in here as Ionly know his first and last name, not his screen name.

If you mean to couple two together then im not sure but with the inlines they run fine when using stock zenoas but as soon as the zens are modded the cranks get twisted on them so ive been told.Id say a stock rcmk is similar power wise to a mid mod zen so it could suffer the same im not sure .Mind you the 4 bearings on the rcmk might help stop that, the Qd motors use 4 i believe to overcome that issue so it might be fine.Im sure an engine guru will be along to better inform you .

Danny at sonic does them. I'm almost positive that a Zenoah one would work on an RCMK, as engine mounts can be used between the 2 engines.

I think hes stopped selling them he only does them with the motors assembled as too many have copied his design.

The modifications are to the Crankshaft, Crankcase, Cylinder, Piston, Intake manifold & carb.
In the case of EVO engines, RPM is raised into the mid 17K to low 18's and close to 6HP or more.
NOT a dyno number chaser but a real world water testing tells the story type of tuner ... been a 2 stroke tech for over 30 years now.

Here are a few Engine Tech articles I have authored in recent years ...

Scott

PS.
Once back in the shop doing engine work in January, turn around should be @ 3 weeks or so.

Another positive for the RCMK engines is the 929 carb, keeps a great tune. Also if you have a zen stocker you can buy the EVO head kit and turn a Zen stocker into a EVO Beast, just use the Zen piston and ring. $89.00 or so for EVO performance with a stock Zen motor, Mine flys in my Thunderbolt, Two gallons of camp fuel no problems.

That would be me. I actually forgot I sent you one, you ever get the motors bolted up to it?

Yes, the inline kit (similar to the one Redline offer) will bolt right up to the RCMK's and Zenoah's. Only differance between the 2 motors is the length of the mounting bolts required for the inlne kit.

Is the g23 2 bolt.??????? Air cooled engines bolt the source coil to the cylinder, you will not be able to mount the source coil for lack of mounts for it on the water cooled jug. ??????
