Default ENFORCER OWNERS ~~ This is your thread

Hey Enforcer Owners,
I have been a fan of Toni’s for a long time and love his boats I just thought we should have a place to discuss the awesome Enforcer products that Warehouse Hobbies offers. My Son and I aren’t racers were just addicted to the gas rc hobby and thanks to the Enforcer were still in it and love it. I just installed the M-5 in my Mantaray and after break in and about 2 hours of tweaking it’s unreal the difference that little mod made[X(] Hope we can use this thread to help guys like us that often need advice and maybe be able to offer some. And please show us your Enforcer.

Which of yours do you like most, the Mantaray or the Magnum?
I prefer the Mantaray lines but have always heard the Magnum handles rough water the best.

You mentioned 2hrs of tweaking after the M5 install, enlighten us

I really like the magnum57 best in rough water. The extra few inches in length as well as that extra beam width really makes a huge difference over the mantaray. I like the mantaray also because it’s just big enough to fit in my trunk. The magnum has to go in the back seat. The two boats are very similar and handle chop real well. This M-5 was my first real mod we did on this mantaray and wow worth every penny. After the break in period we were lucky enough to have a rc wizard at the pond and set this baby up. We learned a lot and never really knew all the tricks in setting up as well as tuning the motor. The time was well spent running the boat making adjustments, running making adjustments over and over. Finding the proper angle for the surface drive, adjusting the rudders, adjusting the 3PK, and of course the H and L needles to get optimum performance. My Son and I never would have been able to get this thing flying the way it is without help from RON. That’s what I love about this hobby the people are awesome. I mean these guys at the pond are mostly all racers and travel the circuit but still have time to help the newbie’s. Pretty cool.

I really enjoy my Enforcer boats. Got into racing last season with my new Silex Pro. Its an amazing race mono. Took several 1st place wins too. Great quality and follow up service. I am a very good friend of Tony & Pam. They are always ready to help solve any problems or issues you might have. Each boat has a different feel that makes it exciting to drive. You can run these boats and return home with no breakage depending how you treat your boat. The hulls on the sport boats are strong, perhaps a little heavy but that makes for better handling in rough water and windy conditions. I run 2-M5 mods & the M6 in the Silex Pro which I hit 62 mph and still have great control going into & exiting corners. You gotta love these boats.
Check out the cool dash kit Tony offers.

I have been a fan of Enforcer Boats ever since I was about 12 and saw the Gator when it first came out. I finally was able to get my hands on one about 6 months ago. I bought the 2009 Super G RTR Kit w/o radio or electronics. It included everything I needed to put it together and took me about 4 hours to build and was a blast in the process. This boat really is my favorite even though it is smaller than my Expresscraft 60" MTI Cat. This thing is a blast to drive and you can't beat the quality that you get at an extremely reasonable price. I must say that even though it did come in kit form and I had to put it together, it seemed as though it had been assembled prior to me picking it up (it was NOT assembled, but that is how nicely it went together) because everything went together flawlessly.

I had some, but I can't find them in my computer anywhere. Tomorrow I will take some more, but right now it is just plain white with no graphics, I am trying to think of what kind of design I want and whether I should go vinyl graphics or custom paint. Any opinions on which is better and more economic, I've heard that vinyl is better because if something happens it is just a matter of getting another sticker as opposed to having to repaint.

I also purchased a Magnum Old School Kit from WHH and in about 4 to 5 hours it was together and ready to fire. Really love the boat, big enough to see and you really have to try extra hard to upset it. Flipped it one time when I hit a roller thrown up by a passing boat at the wrong angle.

I have since acquired the Magnum 57, used only twice before I got it; looks as though it was never in the water or run. It has the KWA 4.5 (Sikk) engine; all of the other hardware; clutch, waterpump, pipe and hardware are WHH.

These aren't race boats; the Silex is; but they are sport boats and a ton of fun.

Can't beat the boats for quality and trouble free performance, and the best customer service there is. Got any questions or doubts call Tony but dont expect him to badmouth anyone elses boats, he doesn't do that.

Just the thought of this thread makes me want to rebuild the beat up Team Pro.

Joe, love the old hydro. I'd toss a 29cc aircooled stroker in there & let that baby eat. Why the aircooled,? Because we can.

I am sure I have posted these before on another thread but here are pictures of my "Super Sport" the only change I have done so far is swap the cannister exhaust for Tony's wet pipe setup. Top speed so far is 41 mph, sure is a FUN boat.

It's been quite a while that I've wanted a gas boat. I almost bought a Ballantine Griffin about 7 - 8 yrs ago. But I recently pulled the trigger and went with Whobbies. It's already been quite a concentrated adventure.Picked upthe boat 2 weeks ago from Tony (I live about 3 hrs away - another reason why I chose him and as you read on you'll see why THAT was a good move). I live right on the Intracoastal in Clearwater but I didn't want to run it in salt right away so I went to 2 different lakes and ran it there. I was having a hell of a time with it fluctuating on rpm's and it cutting out. I probably retrieved it 20x in my kayak. I was trying to adjust the carb like mad. I have an RMCK in it and the carb was set from Tony at about 1 1/4 LS & 1 5/8 HS. This was completely different from what Bruce at Gizmomotors says (2 LS / 1 HS). Funny thing, when I ran it back of my house it ran beautiful (Toy's settings). After 6 days I Finally figured it out. At both the lakes there were high tension wires and I'm running AM with a Kill Guard and failsafe. AM hates those wires.
So, just as I figure this out and it's now almost broken in (almost a gallon of camp fuel thru it) I run it into the rocks of my bulkhead. Cracks in the gelcoat of the hull and a shattered prop. All this in a week! I think I concentrated about a years worth of boating emotions in one week. That's the bad part.
The good part is I immediately call Tony and he says to bring it in and I do the next day. I meet with his glass guy who says no problem, I'll have it looking new and they do it in a few days at a more than wonderful price (Fantastic customer care!). I decided to have them ship the boat to me as it's one day to my house and I'm tired of the 3 hr drive. I should get it today. Oh yea, yesterday I bought the Futaba 3 PM-X on e-bay (great price- $168 w/ free shipping).
This has been an intense learning curve and what did I learn? Well, a gas boat does not turn so well at low speed and you better allow enough distance to make a turn if you accelerate it to make a turn. One other thing - It doesn't have reverse (bummer).
So, I'll be starting fresh again with more experience under my belt and more security in the boat.
When it was not near tension wires it ran great. Idled excellent, etc. I haven't even dialed it in yet. Very curious to see what kind of speed I can get out of it w/ RCMK.

Please let me know what kind of GPS I should use for it and where to get one at a good price.

Robbie
