Default Proboat Hypersport 48

I have been tempted to get one.
Anyone have one or know anything about them?

I saw one at the I Hobby Expo in Chicago last October. The boat looks really cool, but I haven't heard anything about them yet. My personal expirience with that companies boats is not so great. Refer to threads in this forum on the Blackjack 55 and Shockwave 55. Perhaps they will provide you with some valuable insight ,as the Hypersport is a similar product. It's possible that they have taken what they have learned from producing the Shockwave and Blackjack and produced a decent product. I Will let someone else be the judge of that. If you were to ask me to reccomend some other choices I would strongly suggest you check out Wharehouse Hobbies . They have several products of like kind that really might appeal to you. I bought the Team pro a couple of years ago and words can't express how happy I am with it. Other companies you might want to check out would be Bonzi Sports or Expresscraft but be prepared to fork out a few extra $$$. Good luck in your search !

I have owned several boats,Shockwave 55 SS,Blackjack 55,Enforcer 57 which was my best.
Also had 18 other battery rc boats for play.

I am not into racing.

Sometimes I run them with 2-3 other people but usually alone.

I have owned the Shockwave 55 as well as the blackjack. I really like the hull of the Blackjack 55 and I have just completed a redo of the entire boat . Beware of reviews from various magazines and publications I have found in some cases that the companies that make the boats also own the magazines that are doing the reviews. I received my Blackjack 55 from pro-boat becauseof numerous problems that I was having with my Shockwave that they couldnt seem to solve. To their credit , they stood behind their product in the end. Before running my Blackjack I have chosen to replace the parts which I felt needed replacing based on what has been written about the boat. One thing led to another and now the only thing Pro-boat is the hull. It might have been a great boat right out of the box I just never ran it stock. She will get her maiden voyage this spring.

SHE'S ALIVE!!!! Hey Darla, long time no chat!
It's not really an upgradable boat as it has a hole in the side for the cannister exhaust so if you ever wanted to upgrade to a tuned pipe, the hole would have to be filled. There has been some talk about it over at Jim's if you're a member there in the RTR forum. It may need some holes in it to let it get some fresh air.
W've got to get you out of the RTR boats and get something serious.

If you're free on April 10th, roll on down to the Toledo show.

Darla, have you ever given a Warehouse Hobbies boat a thought? For what you'd pour into a Pro Boat boat you can get one that's a lot better built.

I will probably get 3-5 more boats to try to have some enjoyment before my health gets too bad again.

PROBOAT = JEEEEUNK

That guy in the video wouldn't know a prop from a drive dog. I love it when hobby guys that think they know something about trucks or buggies comment and recommend a boat. NOT A FRIGGN CLUE. Unless it says Aeromarine, Blazer or Insane on it, PASS.

And what do you expect from a Car or Truck Magazine chasing the wallet and advertising dollars of Horizon. That was the downfall of the RC boat mag. Sending too many clueless people running for a ProBoat without a bad thing commented on a $1000 crappolla hydro. There is no place for a corporation in this hobby unless you are making my servos. Too much temptation to cut corners. Small manufacturers are accoutable for their design and lay their rep on the line. The only line a corporation stares at is the bottom line.

Next time you have a problem with your ProBoat, call Horizon and see if someone effectively solves your problem. When I have a problem, I call Aeromarine and talk to Remmy or Blazer and speak to Brian Yes they made the boat and No the guy on the line at Horizon doesn't care.

That pretty much says it. I guess they still have issues but without the clutch or tuned exhaust system they have removed to of the problem areas from it that their other 2 gas boats have.

The radio system isn't too bad Dan, for a 3-channel radio it makes a nice 2-channel radio! I've got a JR and the 3rd channel is useless for a boat as I tried using a remote needle for mine. I could just about do 6 laps before it would move the needle far enough to make any change. Seriously, it's that slow.

Hopefully I can get you 2 ladies together at the Toledo show.

Darla, give yourself another week and check out the new Aquacraft Rio 51 Z at the Toledo show. Ask Mike if the Z stands for Zenoah or Zaborowski. Yup, they dumped the Fuji and dropped a Zen it it this time and is designed to be reace ready out of the box for the Super-Sport class. The Fuji was the biggest downfall of the first version, that and the header breakage but this one has the cannister exhaust and a Tactic (Futaba) 2.4 Gig radio system.

I am not a fan of Aquacraft products.

I should stick with "Toys R Us" rc boats.

Radio box set-up seems weird.
They should explain to drill a hole for the antenna.
I drilled a hole then filled around the wire with latex sealant.
The shorter antenna wire I taped to the upper sides around the radio box.

To me I think an antenna tube on the radio box cover would be better for the spektrum system. []

Went through to make sure things were tight & ready to go.

Pretty decent boat.
So you went from a WHH Mag 57 with a M5 motor mod to a Proboat and call the WHH boat "decent" !?

I'm shocked

I'll get her over to see you Mike somehow if she shows up.
Darla, if you need my cell phone number, PM me. It makes it easier to locate us at the show, "us" being me and whoever else is tagging along. I'll have Eric and possibly my youngest brother with me for the ride.
