Default HPR Mystic Twin RCMK EVO side Exhaust Build

well, I am NOT the builder but I am soon to be the proud owner of a HPR Mystic with RCMK Side Exhaust motors and MHZ Mounts and reverse kit (starting acquiring these parts WELL before the CR motor was released). Tony is building and painting the boat for and has down a FANTASTIC job to this point. I think he is as excited to see it on the water as I am. AND, excited to get it out of his shop after almost 7 months.

His build quality and attention to detail is some of the best I have ever seen on anything, anywhere. He is a Formula and Merc Racing tech and needless to say FANTASTIC as what he does!

Here are a few pictures as the build has gone and a couple of teasers in the paint booth. It will get 5-7 coats of clear and then allowed to cure prior to re-rig. The drives are PHR, as well as the steering rams. But I had a WD200 scale rudder and thought uit was way too cool not to use. I did have Werner make a rudder blade about 35mm longer than standard just to be on the safe side. Peter Mueller has been a huge help for ribbing and great advice as well as Tom B...it has been fun but we are really excited to get this together and tested!!!

Thanks!!! I hear on the HPR. His work is over the top! The clear is on the boat now and it is curing so he can get it re-rigged. I hope to have a wet kitty in a couple weeks. I will get some better pix of the boat up later with a bit better camera and light...they just don't do it justice........at all

Tony has out-done himself.

Nice Flippin build dude!

I install the pump with the pulse port down so it won't collect oil. When it fills with oil it won't pump water.

MAdman, that is funny! Thanks for the kind word. I will let Tony know what you think he will love to hear it.

Lolaman, thanks for the heads up. I will keep my eye on it. The boat won't get run a ton, just enough to keep the juices flowing...

Thanks!!!

Rudder and Exhaust tips are from WD200 = Werner Dieckmann. Drives and hydraulic rams are HPR. Radio box is from Tom Lorenz

Harvey,
Ok, so I'm going to be the tool here as I have to ask. I would love to get a boat built and ready to go turn key like that.

Does this guy build them 1 on 1 basis? And I have to ask......price tag?

You can PM me if you don't want to hear a whole forum freak out.

Nicest looking boat I've seen in a long while bud!

I am curious how many dozen beers he had to drink to find the perfect bottles '"Darn - another scratched one [sm=confused_smile.gif]"

Harvey - that boat is art - beautiful work indeed.

THANK YOU!!! I am so excited after seeing it in person. I have been seeing it come together for so long in white and now after the paint...you just really have to take a step and stare with your mouth wide open.

Tony is top notch and as meticulous as they come. If he can do a one to one build (if he has the time and drive after this epic adventure) he will want to chat in detail prior to getting anything agreed upon and it has changed slightly since we started it in December based on hardware placement and fitment as things get tight during the rigging. check your inbox I sent some info/details over.

I lost count on the bottles... I actually bought them from Werner Dieckmann...I was happy to replenish his stock afterwards.

I'll even supply the cold ones afterwards! You guys do know we have an average of 360 75 degree sunny days a year here right?

THAT would be fun! I used to live in Santa Monica...years ago. LOVED living on teh beach and surfing EVERY morning...BUT I had to spend SO much time in the car in TRAFFIC I never had any time to mess about RC boats. My wife and I sent some time at The Del Hotel on the tail end of our honeymoon. That is a GREAT area!!!

It would be a BLAST to get all those big boats together...A guy named Bill set up a race called the Mini RC Shootout around the Lake of the Ozarks Rescue Shootout up here at the Lake of the Ozarks, MO. It sould be a really fun time and RC boat mixed with Go-Fast real boats and cold beer...what's not to LOVE!

YEAH! Sweet stuff. I have pondered about selling the Blata/mount/tuned pipe from the Apache and doing something slightly different there??? Maybe a 520??? Not sure what yet. You will be missed this year but VERy welcome for NEXT! Cool stuff. I really think the Cayman is cool, and so is the Hunter...I think my favorite mono is the MHZ Skater. After seeing Tony run his with twin RCMK RZ's it is just so cool. Big enough to handle the bigger water and narrow enough to still fly with that power!!! When it gets REALLY rough I like the MHZ Apache but there is just something about the Skater hull.

Yabba Dabba Doo!

First run is under our belt!!! Gotta love the first run growing pains. all in all it was a huge succes all the way around. We ran with the cowling off to allow for carb tunning and adjustments. We still need to play around with the Exhaust lengths on the quiet pipes and dial in the trim heights of the drives to get them spot-on...but we are getting there. Yes it was running wet but because we wanted to be conservative this first time out. All in all I would say we ran just at a full tank of fuel through her... for some reason the water pumps were just trickling water out through the outlets while the boat was sitting at idle. Not sure what the deal is there but Tony is on top of things while I get in his way...not a problem.

Enjoy we sure did!

Here are some links. Prop is a ABC 2916-3 (thanks Scott S) It's getting there!
