Pulled the flange off the top half today, after shaking in anticipation before , it came off very easily, no prying with screwdrivers or anything... Will get the flange polished back up now and then it's onto the bottom half of the mold, will post some pics this weekend.

Ok, Ok....... Got some more progress today, first coat of Gelcoat is on the lower half and the cowl.

Pretty exciting progress today ( well for me anyway), pulled the mold from the plug, and it turned out really well. Have to fix up a few area's then it is polishing it like mad.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif Then hoping within the next week or 2 to start the first hull, if this turns out ( it should) then anyone who wants one let me know. I am not expecting people to buy this hull without me testing it first , but if you can't wait .....
Also started on the front joining mold , this you can see in the photo with the white gelcoat.
I must say it is all a relief after nearly 5 months but it's not done yet.

Thanks guy's, started on the polishing yesterday, just waiting for some funds then it's onto the hull build. I appreciate the feedback afterall i really don't see things as clear as you guy's would watching the progress from the side.
Will keep the pic's comming as it starts looking more like progress.

Well pulled the joining strip mold today and it turned out well, now it's up to the polishing, getting some more glass and we are onto the first hull build.

Hi , well babies are a very time consuming past time.......However still manage to get into the shed from time to time and managed to polish up the mold, still got to polish up the cowl yet then i will start polishing in the mold release wax. Hoping to get some fiberglass this week, funds permitting, and begin the layup this weekend.
Thanks for the patience with me , already going to start another 2 molds, 48" F1 and a 46" Thunderboat.

Hi Neil, sorry mate, there are no basic plans, i designed it between the Maxicat plans, photo's from a Mystic and some measurements from a Hydrolift 1900, and basically what worked during the build.

Aw Shucks guys .... didnt get the chance to venture into the shed last night, my little girl just really didn't want me to go, .........Hmm have i got my priorities wrong?
Hoping since i paid my dues last night that may be able to get a crack at it tonight, sorry for the lack of pictures.
Pete you are most welcome to come on down, not too sure we will be running boats yet, but should have the sprint boat ready to drom into the dam.
