photos of old school offshore boats
 

I was on www.superboat.com this week watching the offshore races at key west. They have some old videos from the '80s and 90's that had some awsome boats like "jesse James" "Systems Cougar Cat" and "popeyes". Does anyone know where I can look up photos of these boats? I can't seem to find many photos on the web???

Hey all, here is some pics of one of the best running old scool apaches ever. These are from the original ballantine molds and are 65" in length. Im currently doing a kevlar lay up on them and everyone that has seen them needs duct tape to keep their mouths closed!! this is the Recon k-65 apache, and some pics of the Recon mantis 53" cat along with the all new interceptor 72" cat. and last but not least the all new k-585 apache, which is a 58.5"version of the K-65 done in kevlar with a built in 7layer carbon/coremat transom (like the K-65) Feel free to call me with any questions.239-253-0905. thx Ray

Good to see youve started the build m8,love those exhaust outlets can i ask where you got them ?.
Did you manage to find any vents yet m8 ?.

hey mart, good to see ya, boats look good.how did the cigarette build turn out have you herd anything back, i am getting the same stuff almost anyways, together. just need a line on the sw200 gear box with clutch set up, but i wanted to know how that set up worked out, i also have 2 arrowshark #6 drives

Thanks for the reply. This is what I was lookng for. I found a few websites that sell dvd's of the old offshore races but they want about $100 each... I like the "systems" cat and the "jessie James" cat from Chris Craft from the early 80's.

Hi Tom and Mart, <span class="hps">unfortunately</span> the amg cigarette is an <span class="hps">abandoned project, her new owner, filippo, <span class="hps">offered</span> it to <span class="hps">me but i really wanted a big hull. It's still for sale (only hull) with or without arneson drives, it also has two trims with idraulic mod.</span></span>

did'nt that boat have the 520 with the ws200 transmission? and clutch, if so i would be interested, in the transmission and clutch if you do not have a use for them, i already have 2 arrow shark #6 drives and a s-520 but i do need the tranny and mounts as well, if not well hey everybody i need a ws transmission, with a clutch and mounts for a s-520 lol Thanks Tom
