RE: Apache 84

Hi yes you can put a fitting on the boat in the deck or side of top structure above deck then you use a hand or electric pump to pump the gas into the tank.

Hi Mario
I hope this picture helps with your fuel set up on your 520, this is what I am going to use on my 520 Mart Apache.

Bob.

PS the WHITE LINES are what WD200 send me.
Mario this fuel filler is from Tom Lorenze Germany this is what I use, you will need a hand pump to use this ok.

Hi Again Mario
here is a picture of the fuel pump that you need, make sure you get one that is ok for GAS the nitro ones dont use ok, you should be able to get these somewhere in italy but I dont know any shops there !

you must also use 1/8 tygon yellow gas pipe with the pump dont use anything else ok.

The brass splitter I made myself but you can also use a "Y" connector from most model shops.

Bob.

RE: Apache 84

Thanks Bob, the only thing that i don't understand is tygon yellow, the color is important? is the yellow one a special material? thanks

martno1fan 12-10-2011 02:33 PM

RE: Apache 84

Yes tygon is a different material not silicone which desolves with gas.Actually the pumps are the same least the ones ive used are same as the ones the nitro guys use,im still using the same one 4 yrs later but you need to swap the lines to tygon or you can use the clear stuff from the mower shop ;).

RE: Apache 84

Hi Mario
Something has just come into my head since you ask about the tygon fuel tube, have you used gas engines before ? or just nitro ? you will need to mix at least 8 oz of 2 stroke oil to 1 gallon of gas for the S520 Engine ok.

Bob.

martno1fan 12-11-2011 04:00 AM

RE: Apache 84

Looks like the same pump to me,pretty sure the internals on them are the same wether gas or nitro, just need to use gas lines for the fuel.Ive never had any problems with the one im using and it was sold as for either fuel same as the one i linked.
Mart
ps yes also make sure your motor has tygon fuel lines, silicone for water cooling though, pref large bore 4 mm int diam

Yes that pump is the exact one we use here in the states. As already mentioned use tygon instead of the line it comes with.

This boat has been tested with to different radios, the new dx3s surface and with a futaba 12fg air. it worked fine with both radios, hope works fine with this one..

Hi guys, i started with some work in the boat, the first is change pilots and improve the aesthetics, like adding seats, dashboard and others, one doubt i have is if i should paint the seats or leave it black, what do you think? Then i installed one of the fuel caps and disassembled all the sterndrive, now i have to close all the stern holes ( look pic) what should i do? take it to the body-paint shop? or try to do it myself? if you think that i have to do it myself, tell me what material and putty or fiberglass i should use, remember that the inside part of the stern is a layer of reinforced wood, thanks.

Do you have more pictures of the drives? Especially from the front?
Is the axle 3/16 or 1/4?
