Should be good, I have two Makara's, though not Prestwich ones, but I assume they are the same. Both fly and are very good rough weather boats, I found they run best with some serious power, running big bore long stroke motors in them and getting just on 50MPH now, which is pretty good for a big model.

I am sure that you will have fun with it.

Ive been getting 53mph with a tuned 26 zen (Tuned very much like the zen 7) with a double rudder set up in my makara. (not a prestwich)
Ivejust put a tuned zen 30cc zenand it picks up alot better and gets very flighty at the top end!!! not had gps in it yet tho. im thinking it will be between 55 and 58mph...
Good going for a big wideboat!!!

Holiday, I suppose you could call it that. Dave (along with a great number of modellers from around the world) is at the [link=http://fsr-dessau2012.de/]Naviga World Championships[/link] in Dessau, Germany.

Results are slow to come out and pictures non-existent on the official site.

Hes taking a holiday when hes away from the shop!!!... everything gets pritty difficult to get hold of when prestwich is closed in the UK.

You basically need to know how your going to build the model.
exhaust in or out the hull, Layout of electric box, how the throttle is controled either pushrod or cable,Where your rudder is going to be in relatioship to the rudder servo. What fuel tank are you going to be using, IV bag or tank, The stringers might need to be longer for a tank to hold it in.. Just basic stuff that needs thinking about.

On my first makara i didnt really think about CG. I was more involved in the build its self.... Getting everything spot on but didnt know of CG... it all worked out ok tho!!

Thanks for all comments,

Is there any pictures on the transom, i want the strut and rudder to be placed Spot on?

Whats the best way to attach the Stuffing tube (epoxy? Silicon?)?

I glassed in another tube on my hull so the stuffing tube slide down it if for any reason I need to change it out.
I know just glue them in using an evostick serious stuff adhesive which comes in a tube and is shock proof and give a slight bit of movement.

The centre line of the shaft needs to be 13mm up on the transom. I set my runner so it's in line with my stringer. 2.5" from the centre line of the boat. I run double rudders on mine so this might me different for a single.

Get a few opinions and go from there. Nothing will be wrong it's just it could work better. Im finding better ways to keep the makara fast and stable that's part of the fun of boating!! Messing!!!<br type="_moz" />
