If you notice the name on the Land Speed car is "The Turbinator" not just "Turbinator"....thats the difference. But if he or anybody else is worried about my rc boat with that name than they have serious issues. Im sure that name was around before his car was even thought of!!!

Black and Decker threatened legal action against a graphics shop due to the owner making up decals for a scale hydroplane with the name DeWalt on them. If there is a chance of making money, some company lawyers will go after every penny they can get. I would recommend contacting the owner of the car and see if he has any objections rather than waiting to see if a supena shows up at your door

I'm no attorney but I'm pretty sure you're OK to use it on your own personal boat but if you were to sell it in production, that's when the copyright kicks in and legal action can be taken.
Hence the reason Black and Decker went after the guy selling DeWault decals.

Come on guys.... How many other rc boats is it out there with copyright names on them and not been bothered??? Let's be for real,its my personal toy rc boat!!! I should have just went along and named it Miss Geico,Miss Budweiser or even FOUNTAIN,one of the other pupular names that I see on personal rc boats...SMH.

Like I mentioned already the copyright name and name on that car(if it is a copyright) is "THE TURBINATOR"...my boat is not named THE TURBINATOR its name "TURBINATOR". I don't see the word "THE" in front so I am not using his exact name.
