Quiet exhaust for g320pum -is there something for it?

So I have looked everywhere and cant find much. would like to have something quiet, low(ish) cost.

The chinese pipes I found are for smaller engines(7/8") headers and I have no idea will these work with larger cc engine like the 320pum.

What would you suggest?

It is for my 70" gtx build

Are you racing or just fun running? I know that European dB limits are a lot lower that those here in the US.
Closer to you and quiet pipes could be http://www.prestwich.ndirect.co.uk/gaspipes.htm .

Thanks, I am waiting a reply from Dave from prestwitch.

I am not racing, just wanting to build a nice relaxing "sunday boat" that is not too noisy.

Dave's good to deal with, he'll do you right.
When you have a large boat, a lot of noise can come from hull vibration. I used foam pool paddle boards for the sides as they do double-duty as floatation and noise reduction.

are TFL hobby pipes good? just saw this and no idea of the noise levels. http://www.tfl-hobby.de/Auspuff/Reso...er-30ccm-.html

Looks like I will find out how noisy the tfl pipe is... Sadly Dave does not have the correct pipe for my build. Great customer service thougt.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHuN-zn0A9c this is the tfl pipe with 26cc, for you guys that know stuff, is this "noisy"? -gas boat terms that is?

I asked the seller and he wrote it has 2 chambers but not steel wool cause it is not good with oil?

I got this pic from him http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2190138 I hope he does not mind me posting it here.

edit.I just ordered it so looks like it will go in the boat :D

-I may need a wrap forward manifold, are there 1" versions? I can only find smaller dia stuff.

Ron Olson 11-16-2016 12:40 PM

Zippkits has 1" headers but not tuned pipes. Right now he has them 50% off, http://zippkits.com/~zippkits/index....fa1a32213450f5
I personally am not a fan of Wrap-To-Forward or Wrap-To-Center headers as you can not them short enough to make the tuned pipe effective, their downfall. Note that Joe also had a through transom exhaust setup which would help you a lot with a large hull. His tuned pipe is made by TFL Hobbies to his specifications so they also sell it. They are 92 dB legal here. Note that he is now shipping worldwide through DHL so there's no problem getting it to you.
I've tried a 1" exhaust setup on my modded 30cc RCMK and really didn't notice a difference anywhere. This was with a Zippkits header and Daniel Place pipe.

Thanks Ron, I allready have ordered wide(to clear the radio box) 1" header and flange with this pipe from tfl Germany. The wrap forward is just something I may not need or it is a must. Dont know until I have the parts here and can check the cog.

I am hoping this setup fits inside so I dont need to get the wrap forward style manifold. I may need to shorten the 90deg manifold a lot thougt.(I wish it wont mess with the power too much)

I'd say you won't. My largest gas hull is 50" long and uses a 2" offset 90-degree header just because it needs to clear the radio box.
This is inside of my Insane Jersey Skiff to give you and idea. I used the Zippkits transom exhaust kit which you can just butt the silicone running up against the cone but I opted to use a piece of 1/2" ID silicone inside that to seal it up better (the yellow inside).

[QUOTE = FastVee; 12278878] Grazie! Lo

scoprirò presto, il motore e il tubo sono qui, ho anche ordinato il montaggio e la frizione da Werner a wd200 per questo, presto avrò tutti i pezzi in modo da poter fare una costruzione qui.

Hi,

if you have also taken a clutch, you must also take a pump system to cool the engine when the boat is still in the water.

Bye
