1/5 scale 73" Miss Budweiser, Anyone interested ?

Hello, I am in the process of building a 1/5 scale 73" Miss Budweiser Unlimited Hydroplane. I'm just wondering if anyone else would be interested in this. Theres no other hydro in R/C this large that I know of. I'm not a business yet, but i'm wondering if people would be interested in these if I were to start building them.

Thanks,
Tim

there is a company (i dont remember the name) that builds hydros that are about 9' long and are powered by the 300cc kawasaki jet ski engines used in JS300 and 300SX jet skis. the name of the company i think is something like hydroplanes unlimited or something

But those jetski powered boats were built like crap.

There are several large versions of hydros in the 70+" (nothing in the US that I have seen) range but I would be interested in knowing more about yours. (Motor capabilities etc). Keep me in the loop !! [link=http://groups.msn.com/JustaddwatasRCBoats/othersbighydros.msnw]Heres a link to a few I found on the net !![/link]

There was a company years ago that sold a 1/5th scale Turbine Circus Circus. If I rememeber right, they didn't sell any and gave up on them. Several people in the Seatle area have built 1/6th scale boats with Zen 230s and 231s. While they ran decently, they were so big that they were hard to handle on the beach and even harder to launch and recover. I have a pic of one of them, built with so much detail it's almost hard to tell it from the real boat.

I'm interested. I'm making a 1994 miss bud T4 that is 72" long 36" wide. I'm almost done and I'm running electric brushless motor

You may want to message or email this member directly as I do not believe they have been active on this forum in 4 years.

You may want to look around. There used to be a place that sold the plans to build the large hydro. A customer built one from them. The plans I know used to be advertised in the old RC Boat Modeler magazine when it was around.
