NOT FOR SALE BUT NEED A VALUE!

THIS IS NOT MINE ITS NOT FOR SALE I DONT EVEN HAVE IT IN MY POSSESION!!! NOT TRYING TO SELL!!!!!!!!!

I have someone wanting to trade me this boat for a helicopter I have listed in the classifieds could someone read the email he sent me and tell me what you think it would be worth!

Hydro sport marine unlimited hydro hull 32" estimate can measure for sure later
Hull is carbon Fiber / Deck is Fiberglass
Running gear manufacturer unknown, but was used exclusively in the racing circuit in Dallas texas
Octura metal prop, needs to be balanced and profiled
1/4 scale steering servo
No throttle servo curently. removed for another boat but is simple hobby store parts.
Rubber mounted aluminum engine mounts
Water cooled 23CC Zenoah machined and modified by a shop in Quebec. Turns more than 13K rpms and around 3.5HP Head and rings were replaced about 3 runs ago.
Tuned pipe exhaust

You would need to setup the throttle servo, and ideally for the most speed, you would need to rebalance the prop and do a little prop tunning This is all very easy. You will need a reciever as well, and I just ballon bag the receiver and battery pack. This boat has been raced a little, but was not my primary racing boat. So it is in almost perfect condition. This is a racing boat, and is fun to play around with, but it likes to go fast. Depending on your setup, it can do 70MPH on the straight away, and throws a 10-20ft rooster tail.

#1 ask for a picture
#2 sounds like the boat is going to need some work to get it in the water.
#3 You will need a radio, rx, and servo.
#4 10-20 ft rooster tail.
I'd be really be leary of this deal and research it to death before you make a commitment.

What kind of shape is your chopper in. Is it RTF?

Good Luck

That's a lot of engine for an estimated 32" hull! I hope that it's a lot bigger than that.
I'm leery of any trades as I've gotten the shaft before doing a trade. The guy got an almost brand new engine and I got a box full of beat to Hell junk in trade, most of what was not in the pix that he sent me.

This is the photos I recieved

The Heli is ARF it needs a RX and TX It was given to me on another trade from a good friend so technically I dont have much money in it but I would say the value of the heli should be atleast 600 although I did not get any bites on it! So the boat sounds fun!! I have a TX and RX I can use it in the boat.

You would not get 70mph out of a 3.5 hp 23cc motor with the hydro. I'm getting 68mph with a 26cc 8hp Zen turning almost 19K.

You will probably get around 40-45 at best. It will be a just for funzy boat.

I wouldn't pay more than 500 for it complete.

Lots of people build them. Here are a couple of the motors I use and vendors I trust.

Mitch or Todd at Quickdraw or Rick at Mastons RC Marine.

Remember these are "Race" motors and they do blow up. I just grenaded one a couple weekends ago. Thats racing!

Now , I'm not saying that the hull is NOT carbon , but that sure looks like an ABS hull to me . And 32 incher ????? and THAT has a Zen in it ??? I would SURE as heck ask for a few pics of it WITH the motor showing !
Heck .... what tuned pipe is he using ( don't see any sticking out the rear ) and sure as heck do NOT see any Zen there either !

8hp is a big claim for a 26cc piston port Zen engine. I don't believe it--at all. I don't think QD claims that much for the good Mitch motors (of equal size). I would be willing to bet anybody money that no G260, piston port naturally aspriated engine running on gas will ever hit 8hp. The best pipe on a stock engine makes about 4hp (may be a little more)---and your not going to double that power with added porting using the cast Zen cylinder. The best I have ever seen was 7.2hp, but that was a billet cylinder, with much more advanced porting than is possible with the Zen cylinders, and using a pipe that was designed by a student of Dr. Gordon Blair. The engines I am talking about were prototypes, and never made it to production. 6hp is about the max you can get out of a G260 IMO.

Sorry Drag

I want one too....it's going to be tough to find a legit 8hp out of a zen.
