36 X 55 and 36 X s0mething-prop. exa
Miss Vegas Duce? Wich one would have more top end speed? I have to learn the different pitches. Also different ones, like more top end,and vise versa, more get up and go but top out in a hurry at lower speed.Just like a car with a 4:11 gear ratio can break your neck of the line but at 60mph you're turning 5000rmp's.And the 3:08 geared caris just opening up.

The 36 x something prop....a lil vague. Did you do any research? Stock Vegas' run very well with the 36 x 55. I believe the Octura 440may be an ideal upgrade for the Duece according to Acua's website. Running 50% nitro vs. 30% is a great way to increase speed. Thereis a lot of info in the MV and the Duece thread concernig props.

A Y535 50% nitro and the right strut setting will just about push your MVD to the limit of becoming unstable in the water

It's kind of simple when you know how to read the numbers. The first one is the diameter, 36mm and the second one tells you how far in theory the boat should move per revolution (55mm) but theory is only that as then you have to subtract one more number, a percentage for slippage which can be around 15%, more or less but usually on the more side.
While I'm at it I might as well tell you about Octura props. The letter such as X or Y tells you the type of prop that it is. The first number, a 4 or 6 for instance will tell you that the pitch is 1.4 or 1.6 times the diameter of the prop so simple math will tell you the pitch, i.e., Diameter times 1.4, or 1.6 will tell you the theoretical pitch.
