I'm thinking 30% mainly due to the cost of 40% +

I just took a peak at my .67 Picco .the same except for the newer flywheel you got. mine is steel. And your carb is different my volsity stack is shorter. yours has a .67 cast in the block mine has Picco. My box is 1/2 blue and 1/2 red. I'm not sure of the year of production. I plan on running her at least once this year. I have 1 qt of 30 % just waiting. A 30 min run on 1 qt They love nitro. It's the needle bearings on the rod that ends up going. As I was told. can you find parts ?? A second engine from E-bay is advisable for parts

Contact the webmaster (Robert Daniel) of this site : http://www.modelboatracing.co.uk

Ask him who lives near to you , as I don't have a clue where my GB nitro-buddy's live.

I'm sure someone is able to assist you , getting that Picco run.

Red & blue boxes for Picco are about 1982/84 vintage, the carbs for .45/.67/.80 were very basic. In those years only the .21 and .90 had decent carb.

I ordered my flex coupler for the .67 Picco. I'm running a 29 year old engine. I plan on running her once or twice this season. It was a E-bay special I made out OK but 30 years old is OLD.

I've decided to remove the picco and fit a brushless motor instead, so the .67 may be up for sale soon only had half a tank of fuel through it.

How well do they run I lost enthusiasm when I couldn't get mine to idle properly, I gave it some throttle and put her in the water but she kept cutting out so that wasit for me and nitro.
I know I gave in easy butthe only lake we can use nitro on is having big issues with the locals and noise.
If anyone's interested make an offer the engine has a new spare piston, liner, conrod and a picco tuned pipe.

DP
that's going on here too everyone's going gas. They are dumping big nitro on e-bay. One guy had a twin rigger every thing was NIB I believer he ended up piecing it out. The cost of nitro and glow plugs have made big nitro a dinosaur.
Craig
I 'm not sure if I can get my coupler in time. I just ordered it today. Snail mail .I want to run the K&B .67 my first engine. All mods done I could bevel my "Shuling ports "_spelling or the disk can be modified and add a bevel to the disk opening. I'll let you look at stuff when I see you. Thanking big nitro how's that build coming along. I need to get my trailer ready if I want to bring my big stuff. My EV can sit long way in the SUV

DP, I have never run a Picco, so not sure if they are tricky to tune. I do know that some owners of the older big block italian engines like to run the O.S. 9B carb, but not sure why. But, if you are having noise issues then electric is the only way....

Neil, If all goes well I'll be throwing the .91 Seaducer in the water on Sunday, but it's going to be close.

As far as glow plug prices, I picked up a bunch of O'donnel Blues for $1.46 each from Towers. If you look, you can find deals....

Wow, a dollar a plug, that's great! Your fuel prices sounded good to, around $30 a gallon for 50%, if I remember correctly. I'm not switching to gas yet, but Neil's Easy-Vee sure is fun to drive.

I have it posted on the NY thread, so he should be able to find it. I e-mailed him about bringing some tuned pipe couplers, and it sounded like he was coming. He's probably just busy working. He doesn't waste time like we do on these forums.
