Phil's Hobby Shop in Fort Wayne, Indiana or Al's Hobby Shop in Elmhurst, Illinois are 2 places for great deals on MC-9's.

I haven't tried them yet although I do have a card of them. Their quality control is much better and supposed to last much longer than the McCoy's. What plug you need depends on your nitro content. I'm guessing that you'll want a warm/medium plug as big-blocks only need a low nitro percentage.

Ron,

I have been running my 1/8 scale hydro boats on 50%. Is this not the best way to go. I have been running them with buddies for fun and enjoying them but by no means an expert. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

50% is fine but you don't really need to go higher. Smaller engines like .21's use nitro more efficiently as believe it or not it's considered a slow-burning fuel as far as fuels go. When you're cranking an engine at 25,000+ RPM it doesn't have that much of a chance to burn all of it in that amount of time so higher nitro fuel is a waste of money on what I consider big-blocks in the world of RC.
A kind of rule of thumb is, the smaller the engine, the higher the nitro and vice-versa.
