I'm not done with it yet. I plan on getting the radio box done and everything finalized and tested AND THEN I'll be installing a support as well as getting it painted. It's a waste of time and money to go any further in that direction until I know the boat is going to work. This project is a total experiment so until I see it hitting 40+, nothing is set in stone

DAMN, I'M BEING TRIPLE-TEAMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since a majority of my boats have been hard shaft driven, I don't want to jump the gun and end up screwing up something BEFORE I see a positive result. Since this boat is more of an experiment, I want to make sure everything is going to work BEFORE I start assembling my next one, that one being converted to a 1977 Atlas. I hope you guys understand this and why I'm taking this build, set up and testing a little on the cautious side

I got 2 builds going on now. And I squeezed in my AoA on my .12 rigger. Gone threw 1 bottle of 30 min epoxy and 1/2 way gone on a 2nd. 2 oz of gap filler. No more tag teaming. Just pick along she'll get done.

I've been using MAS Flag epoxy with medium hardener for sheeting sponsons and the tub on my .12 rigger. It is working quite well. It gives more working time than 30 minute hobby epoxy. I still use the 30 min. epoxy for framing.

I like the 30 min, 5 min is not good around nitro. The Hobby Lobby epoxy is OK. I use thick CA for fillets. thin on some things that I can't wait for. CA can get brittle over time if not sealed over. I picked up some Z-POXY finishing resin. I'll give it a try.

FINALLY, I managed to get the stuffing tube re-epoxied in. Rather than use straight epoxy, I used a combination of epoxy and silica for a thicker glue and greater strength. After I get the radio box done and make a few test runs, I'll add a wood brace block to give the tube more support prior to painting the hull

I had the stuffing tube in my gas rigger. then I went to test fit the strut and the strut got stuck inside the brass pipe. Anyways I trashed the pipe. My LHS has no more 36" lengths. My build is down for the moment.

Mine is sort of on hold for a bit as well. I'm to the point that I need to make some servo mounts and I've decided the best way to go is with machined aluminum. Since I also need to make a skid fin bracket for the kit build, I figure I'll epoxy on the the side to the kit build's left sponson and then head out to the garage and start making some aluminum chips
