Default OS O/B Lower, Grease or No Grease?

I am new to this unit and noticed that the cable grease is clogging the lines for the exhaust oiling system. Am I just using the wrong grease or will the oiling system be enough to lubricate if I stop greasing the shaft? Thanks!!!

I've been running outboards for a few years and I prefer to use grease rather than depend on the O.S. "spent fuel" system. The nipple makes a great grease fitting.

Oh, it looks like I omitted "quite" from the sentence.

I think you should have said decades rather than years as well though I could be wrong

Thanks jerry. BTW - What are you using to deliver the grease via the nipple? I tried a syringe with silicone tubing, it was not very effecient. Thanks!!!!

A lube gun for a chain saw works well.

Grease gun needs a grease-nipple , but they are mostly huge.

Cut the K&B nipple on the spanner-hexagon , and silversolder the ball of a ball-link to it.

You can drill the ball the same diameter as the nipple size.
