When I raced boats for the last few years, I saw the whole range of fuels. The smaller the engine though, the higher nitro content, the better... just make sure it has good amounts of oil; at least 18%. My .21 size engine ran on 65% nitro in races, but when practicing... I ran about 30-40 %
The larger the engine the lower the nitro.
This is in general.

I myself wouldn't. Blue Thunder has a low oil content. If you get some castor oil to add to it then it would be OK. I use boat fuel only, most have 20% oil, usually a mix of 15% castor and 5% synthetic. The color is a dye used to tell one brand from another, just like gasoline.

ROn Nailed this one, I was going to say blue thunder is mainly for cars and only has 15 percent oil and this is marginal for a boat motor. I dont really know which brand is best as I use red max, and yes it has 20 percent oil. Ken
