Default prop advise

I have a 31" long fiberglass outrigger that was set up for electric. Since I have many glow engines I mounted a Brat glow in it and gave it a test run. It has great rpm but not much speed. Should do much better I think. The prop I have on it now is a Octura X640 dia=1.57 pitch=2.512 any of you pros have any advise.

Guess it would help if I gave you an engine size. No markings on it but I would say around a 28

I'm not familiar with the Brat engines but if it's a .28 you might want to try an Octura 1450 and see how it likes that. You will probably have to give it a toss to get it up on plane and keep the speed up while it's running.

Thanx Ron, a 1450 is 1.97 dia and 2.758 pitch. I thought on a 21 to a 30 engine you could go to a 3.0 pitch but not sure

Try that as a starting point but it should be close to what you need. The Brat may not have the timing numbers needed for high-performance nitro boat engines. Nova Rossi .21's are swinging this prop on 'riggers.
