Bought this boat back in '05 and has never seen daylight until I took these pictures. What would the approx value be?

Today's cost - you can figure an easy $230 - $270 given everything is there untouched ready to go.
Is that a 2.4g radio or a ground FM radio?

I doubt it would be worth that much, unless you find someone that "Just has to have it".
Those Bud boats were never really good running boats. They are tail heavy, under-powered and were made more for looks than actual performance. Another issue is that many locations won't allow nitro boats due to noise and pollution. All that said, I'd be surprised if anyone offers more than $150 or so.

They went for $279.95 new back in the day. Every now and then they will pop up on eBay but for crazy money but I doubt they got it. The problem lies in that they built them to appear as scale as possible and that really hurt performance. When AquaCraft came out withe their version it killed the market for these as theirs was a much better buy for the buck.
Too many people bought these as they had what I call the Golly-gee-whiz factor; it was a boat and a brand that everyone knows. Many people bought them that had no idea of how to run one so many of those went to auction sites shortly thereafter.

I'd give 100 bux to put on my mantle because I used to race f/s hydros but as a running boat they aren't worth much.

Gee, you're being generous with that offer.

Deal!! I'll knock off 50 cents due to the styrofoam being damaged.

One of the designers is in here, Jerry Dunlap. The problem they had was Pro Boat wanted it to look as scale as possible but left everyone else with the problem of stuffing everything inside. That led to a host of problems, mostly a CG that was too far back. They also with any of their boats is to meet a price point, $XXX retail, $XXX street price so sacrifices needed to be made.
Some hang onto things thinking that they will someday go up in value. Try to unload it on eBay and see what it goes far.
It's impossible to see if this is the 1st or 2nd version from your shots. The 1st version had the solid prop shaft, the 2nd used a flex cable.
