Lots of ideas. What kind of hull do you like? Does it have the SG shaft or the standard shaft? I ask this because the standard shaft is easier to use, plenty of parts available for hooking up the driveline. Slide carbs are harder to set up too. I have 2 .12 powered boats so far, a mono and an outrigger hydro. both have been a lot of fun so far and run faster than what you'd expect.

make it long and thin. more speed that way. shorter and fatter will be more stable in the water but can be a git to control properly.

I've got a deep vee that is great fun with an OS FP .10 in it that goes really well!
Dimensions are 22" long, 6-3/4" beam with a flex shaft that exits the bottom of the transom. It would handle a .15 engine just fine and really git going! It's my design, but 22 to 24 inches hull length with a 6 to 8" beam will work out for ya. In my opinion small deep vees are great for handling chop, while outriggers and catamarans are a bit dicey when conditions are a bit bumpy so you can have fun when you are ready, rather than letting the wind conditions decide whether you can go out or not.
I'm going to post pics of my boat here...chcek it out if you care to!

Somebody help me with deep vee kits that might help this fella!

I've got several boats for .12-.18 size motors.
On average, around 24" would be the norm for this size motor.
My current project is a 22" JPK mono using a surface drive and an OS .12 CV-RX.
I got this hull off ebay for $24.
This things gonna be fast.

If your looking for plastic hulls. check out Graupners Electro-V. I've seen several converted over to nitro with .15's. You can get this from http://www.hobby-lobby.com for $25 plus shipping.

There are a lot of elctric hulls out there that are very suitable for conversion.
If your looking for something really fast, check out the Firefighter .12 from Climate Models.

Blew-By-You also has small nitro boats available, monos, hydros and a rigger.
