Default New to Boats - Advice

I've just bought my first boat, and I don't know anything about it. It's a 19" Proton hull with a OS Max 10 Marine engine.

It looks old, but in great shape, it has a section at the back for the elctrics and the engine area is open. It has a metal rudder behind the prop. I'll try to post a pc if anyone is interested. Does this sounds like any boat that anyone knows anything about?

Just wanted to say hello andsee if anyone has an friendly advice, I'm a little worried about the open engine area, I will fill it with floats I think, just in case. My local lake is only about 2 food deep anyway so going out to get it will not be too much of a problem either way.

What are noodles, that I've seen talked about on here Does anyone have a pic of them?

os are good engines.

were talking about the everyday brightly colored walmart pool noodles. if those are too big pipe insulation works good for smaller boats.
