RE: send in your boat pics
One time, I ran the Waveshark along my bass boat and it kept up at 20 mph, but it was dark and kind of rough. I suspect the top speed is around 25 mph. I have seen claims on the internet that it will go 35 mph. Stock, I don't it has the ability to do that. Even in calm water the Waveshark porpoises back and forth when it reaches a certain speed. I think if the boat went 35, it would flip over due to the porpoising. I usually run the Waveshark in the Potomac river around Washington D.C. The river is pretty big around there and the water can get very rough, even for my 18 foot bass boat. I bash the Waveshark on the chop like my RC monster truck...jumps, flips, 360s and it really turns heads. If it flips over I have to get to it fast, it will sink in 30 seconds to 2 minutes. I working on some ideas to solve that. Another problem with it is that it does not get on plane very easily sometimes, so I'm going to experiment with a new prop and that should give it more speed. I'm also think of switching from 20% to 30% nitro because I can't the engine temp above 160 with 20%.
