Ron,

I measured the pipe length after cutting more off the header pipe and it is currently at 8.5 inches (220mm) from the glow plug to the widest point on the pipe.

Thats where you said earlier in this thread to start at.

The pipe will just clear the radio box. Will design a mount for it.

Can some one refresh me as to the balance point (%). Was it 32 to 34 %...????

Nice work Ross. Slow and steady wins the race. I have models in my shop that have been on the back burner for years. You are moving like a rabbit compared to some of my projects. Once you get the WT in the water I'm sure you will be very pleased. I was with mine.

Not wet yet, still got to check all the fastners and adjust the setup.

Pump some fuel into her and do a bench test fire.

And yes, it has been a while.......how long did the pyramids take to build......????

Hi Justin,

I got the pipe (CMB .21 Silenced Nitro Marine Tuned Pipe) from here many years ago.

They still list it but don't know if they have any.

Johno, after you left I ran it for a few tanks, total of about 750ml of fuel went through her.

After each run I checked her over. Adjusted the trim tabs a little which stopped the rocking.

Only ran at 3/4 throttle and on the rich side for her run in, plus setup is not right so I didnt have full throttle.

She started first time every time......no leaks in the radio box.

Will get the video up soon.

Did you do some on-water testing of the radio box?

I don't know if this will help with setting up your throttle linkage or not but this is what I do, open the carb all the way. Turn on the TX and RX, hold the throttle wide open then shut off the RX then adjust everything. Hopefully when you turn the RX back on the throttle will close all the way or close to it and adjust the trim from there.

Ron, I had the servo set right . The setup I meant by the the tuning, mixture, prop and pipe setup is not right as she would not give me full power when I gave her full throttle.

Sorry didn't mean to mislead.

Editing video now, so will be up soon.

I've only had one boat that needed only a carb adjustment to make it run well. I got really lucky that time.
Anxiously awaiting the video.
