don't know the temp ,but after each run you can touch the head. I also opened up the back of top to let out headed heat.

These motors will get more air than one in a car with a body on it. I'm working on a 1/12 miss bud with a .21 it's just about ready. It is also a air cooled.

The mods on your red miss bud look awsome. That is one of the cleanest setups with a .21 in a miss bud. You truly can build some beautiful boats. I can't wait to try out mine.

No there are a painted finish. I used dupont car paint, base coat, clear coat. Wet sanded between each coat with 1500 grit paper. The V hull is gel coat .

Is there any other form of starting the Miss Bud other than the pull start? such as Tiger drive or Roto start?

Yes you can start with a belt it's a 17" one, you can also use the same drive start that is used on cars. there is a V groove in the flywheel already for belt start. If you every change motors buy one with out pull start it is a faster motor, also get one with a slide crab, it will repond a lot better than barrel type

I made mine out of 1/4 alum. with slotted holes to fit in same holes on wood mounts that came in boat. I will send close up pic. Fri. of the mount it realy work well, I can move motor back and forth to change the CG if I need to. IF you was looking from a top veiw it looks just like the one that came in boat, but the motor mounts holes are slotted.

so do you feel If I move the motor about 1/2 inch forward it will hurt the CG?
I am putting a small 1 once feeder tank behind the motor or do you think that is not needed
