Default Losing rpm after / laps.

Aftter I warm up the engine on the stand and launch my nitro-vee it runs great, after a lap it loses rpm and starts draging. I was thinking maybe 1/4 brass pick up tube is cooling the engine too much and not reching its normal operating temp. I check the head and it is to cool. What happens when engine is to cool? The carb also spits out alot of fuel.

thanks

Default RE: Losing rpm after / laps.

Usually if an engine starts to loose RPM after running for a few min it is because it is too lean. However after reading your fault description (cool head temp and fuel spitting out the carb) I would say its too rich. Lean it 1/8th or a 1/4 of a turn and see what happens.
