Default Need some help on keeping water out!!

I got a Nitro Hammer a few days ago. Well i cant seem to keep water out of the thing. Any ideas on how i can get this water to stay out. Ive blocked off the rear vents and it seemed to help a little, but still takes on alot of water..... Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

I wouldn't block the vents. Take the rudder bracket and raise it. Take the thing that the servo rod hooks to and flip it upside down and raise the rudder bracket so that is even with the thing. The reason why I say this is because the rooster tail it throws goes back in the boat because it is dragging.

I got a 1 inch hole cut out with a scoop on it so it catches air. It doesnt seem to be getting hot. Temped it at 170f degrees. And are u talking about rasing the rudder mount? Or just the rudder. Cause i dont want to redrill holes in my hull for the mount if i move it up....... The rudder would be easy to raise. Just drill a couple holes a lil higher and turn the rod arm upside down... right?

You could try that. I don't remember what drags, if it is the rudder arm or not.[]

Well it stoped the spray, but water is still getting in.... I put some fuel tubing around my deck lid. Hopefully that helps. Anyone have any better ideas on sealing the lid??

Have you greased the prop shaft???? Water can come up through there so put some good waterproof grease on it.
