Default Jet Boats

I have been looking around on the internet and found some stuff about jet boats, the ones similar to ski doos.
Does anybody have one or what are some opinions on them?
Im looking at building a boat im going between a few different ideas.
Thanks

I make a 31" boat with a graupner jet drive powered by a speed 700 motor that runs really nice.

Check it out at www.barnstormerboats.com

I can get a jet drive that will handle from a .21 up to .90 motor. I have not built one of these yet, but would love to try.

I will try anything once.

The speed 700 driven jet drive goes maybe 20. I have not gps tested it yet, but it moves nice for an electric boat. Also, it is a really solid fiberglass hull. Not some thermoplastic POS that will split apart the first time you bump it against the dock.

This same hull goes 50 ish with a K&B 7.5 Nitro motor, so my guess is that with the nitro jet, It would run in the high 40's using the same 7.5cc motor

do you have to cut a hole in the bottom of the hull so it gets water?
