OPS .21 w/tuned pipe -
Hey all,
I have an OPS 21 w/tuned pipe and am looking for project suggestions for this motor. Originally it was purchased for a 1/12 lumar hull. Any suggestions as to other boats this would work well in.
It is side exhaust i might add with no mods to the motor.

You mentioned "project". A good project is building a Wild Thing. It's a great running shallow "V" mono that the OPS will fit nicely into. The entire package should yield speeds of near 40 MPH. I have a MAC 21 in mine and it's been radared at 47 mph. Don't waste a good engine like the OPS on some plastic piece of junk. Make your own hull and you'll have something to be proud of. Not to mention the education you'll get building a boat. There is plenty of help available right here if you have questions. Wild Thing plans and build instructions are available through RC Boat Modeler.

There are lots of good hulls to choose from for what you have. I'm kind of hoping that you don't have the 3280 pipe as it is awfully loud, a big problem if you intend to race it sometime. Even as a play boat you might get some complaints about the noise. I had one and it only had a couple of runs on it before deciding to go to a quiet pipe.

I just checked the pipe. It has an OPS 32800 sticker on the box. I wonder if Mike Tyson has a muffler to fit that small of a dia. of pipe? Different pipe maybe? What is this WT? Is that the boat designed by John Finch? Off to look for some pics of one.
