my first nitro r/c :)))))))))
oaky, so i'm 19 in college, and wanted to release the kid inside of me. so i decided to buy a nitro boat to run in the lakes on campus.
the last thing i had r/c was when i was 10 years old, i know it was dumb to buy before asking , but did i get a good first boat. keep in mind, i just wanted something fast to play with. the link provided is the same boat, but i only paid 180 with shipping included. please give your opinion, if its a piece of junk tell me, thanks

It depends. The price has come down on it and for $180.00 it was a so-so buy. Yeah, the speed is greatly exaggerated, expect a more realistic 17-20 MPH out of it on a good day. It was formerly the ABC Hobby Laserline boat with a few changes, the "shock", whatever that is, and a water-cooled powerplant.

Lots of luck getting parts when you need them and you will, especially the belts for the driveline.
