Default 3EGX Futaba Boat Radio Manual...?

Hi boys and girls, might anybody have a Futaba 3EGX (FP-T3EGX transmitter) manual that they could scan, or know where there's a .pdf on line for it? Futaba's site has a .pdf for the 3eg, but not the 3egx. This was a boat specific radio, BTW. Thanks!

Try www.rcdocuments.com to see if they have the manual online.

Thanks Ron, no 3EGX, but lots of other cool stuff! I hadn't seen that site before; bookmarked now.

Cheers,

Duane

That radio is kind of ancient so I thought that there may be a problem finding a manual for it. I didn't bother to look before replying but thought that it was worth a shot if any place online would have it.

Hey; it's only 20 years old...
Not that I'm using them these days, but I've still got a couple of the old tan box w/wheel transmitters from the '70s too. They still work just fine, BTW.

When I got into racing electric cars, I used to use the old tan box and loved it. I still remember the first pistol grip radios coming out. We ran the old rheostat styled speed controller way back then, before ESC's. Yeah, I'm up there in age too, only physically.
I'm over at the other site where you asked for help also and see that you found a copy or 2 of the manual.

Hopefully... I don't know Bob, who's the guy offering the original paper manual. I PM'd him offering to pay whatever's fair for it + postage.

The 3EGX has a bunch of trim pots and knobs for mixing throttle & rudder, as well as engine warm up. It'll be nice to learn how they're supposed to get adjusted.

I remember a bunch of ex slot racers turning to RC 12th scale cars when tracks were closing in the '70s, and the Futaba tan box often got converted using a slot car controller handle mounted on the back, and a bellcrank & linkage going to the throttle pot on the side.... The first pistol grip transmitter was born!
