Default Fiberglass Dumas 40" Deep V worth ??

I was just wondering if anyone had an idea what a Dumas fiberglass deep v is worth. I don't know what the kit is. Its has the drive tube installed , but nothing else is done. It is 40" long with an 11" beam. Just curious. I've got it on ebay and someone whats to know what I would sell it for right now.

Thanks !! Andy

HHMMM, wonder how a K&B 7.5 OB got on mine? Boat is built for either IB or OB use. I purchased my DV40 from a friend for $50. He used some weird paint that needs to be stripped off. The motor hadn't be started in several years and the skeg was broken off.

http://www.dumasestore.com/catalog/p...roducts_id=428 - Dumas store has it at $157.

Item Description

Our 40 in. competition deep vee is for either inboard or outboard .40 or 7.5 cc marine engines. Use flex cable drive running hardware kit #2355 for inboard installation. No running hardware kit is needed for outboard set up.
Length 40 inches
Beam 11 inches
Power .40 or 7.5 cc size gas marine engine, inboard or outboard
Running Hardware #2355 .150 flex cable outdrive

Mark,

I wish I had a good picture of it with me because it matches nothing at the Dumas web sight !! This boat is at least 18 years old.

Mine doesn't match what the site has either. It's got a full hatch, not even close to the current model. It's too ugly at the moment to post pics of mine..

ejds66, I don't know why you bring up things that have nothing to do with the subject at hand as he was asking about a Dumas hull, not a Prather.
Why the price was an issue is up to you and who the prospective seller is. You say that you bought it off eBay so that must give you some kind of an idea as to what it's worth to you.

Andy,

Does your boat look like this?

It's the Prather Commander, which is the bigger brother to the DV40. If your so called Dumas doesn't look like what is on the Dumas site, you very well may just have a Prather instead. Prather's site has the DV40 at $189.95.

Mark,
It has dumas in or on the fiberglass inside the boat. It doesn't look like either. I like the pic you showed , thats a nice looking boat. The dumas 40 is not very atractive , the one I have looks better then the pic at the Dumas web sight. [img][/img]

Ron,

The question was asked because I'm not all that into boats and I'm the one selling it. I had somebody wanting me to end the auction early and wanted me to shoot him a price. My brother purchased this thing years back and I ended up with it.

Mark,

I spoke with my brother and he didn't like the Deep V either. He said he bought a Scarab. If thats the case , this thing is really old because they don't list any 40" Scarab!! [X(]

You should get no less than $300 for it.
