Default rc fuel tank

i bought a sullivan 6oz tank for my AJ. do i have to mount the tank higher than the carb?

You don't want it higher than the carb or else it will constantly siphon fuel into the carb flooding the engine.
I'm kind of suprised that a 6 oz. tank will fit in there, a 4 ouncer is a squeeze.

hey ron, where did u mount your tank? I mounted mines in between the plastic thing that holds the engine

Pretty much the same spot, just closer to the engine.
I did it in its sister boat, the Grey Thunder but have told others about my setup and they have done it in their AJ's. What you have to watch is putting too much fuel in there as it can throw the center of gravity off when the tank is full. Four ounces gave me plenty of run time, six would give you a lot more but with the adverse affect.

what happen when the boat is off the center of gravity? will it start to lose control if i fill the tank too much?

It may be harder to steer and have problems with spinning out in the turns.
