Which good first boat
Hi,
I was wondering which boat is a good boat for a fairly cheap price. I know the nitro hammer is a nice boat for the money. I also know the cen aquajet is nice too. Is there any other new easy and well performance nitro boats out that i might not of heard of?
thanks for replying if you do

RE: Which good first boat
hi,
i bourght a nitro boat with a K&B .67 and have had a huge amount of trouble tuning it and getting it to run slow enough to be able to deal with it before launching. unless you have someone who can help you then my advise is dont bother with nitro.
gas- with you being young and with out spending all your cash then you wont get to alot of speed.
electric- i maybe wrong but these can keep up with the fastest nitro boats. the advantage is you dont have to wait aslong before you can run again (cool down). theres no ongoin costs of fuel. all you need is a few battery packs and your set. no heater, starter dirty fuel and constant tuning.
thats just from my experiance i would say electric. because i am selling mine and doing that.

RE: Which good first boat
in response to the last post, yeah stay away froma nitro unless you have help, gas, a cheaper gas boat will still make an honest 30-50mph and be a blast to run, some have clutches some dont, if you had a nitro and it was going to fast to deal with it wasnt setup right or you have problems driving even at 5mph, and idleing boat shouldnt go over 10mph, electrics are fine but unless you wanna blow several hundred into a brushless boat or know how to setup a good brushed raceing boat you wont be keeping up with a nitro, yeah they keep up, with about 4-6 hundred into them...stick with a nice gasser, ddep vee is best for the beginer, the extra cash for gas is worth it...

RE: Which good first boat
go for agas boat nitro trucks give half the problems a nitro boat gives
the best thing is to build it yourself a boat as generally you pay fir what others tested.
i built adaytona beach [graupner] kit and had to alterate half the boat. now i,m ok but spent a fortune
see you and don,t let hobbies interfere with school but remember you need to relax.
