Default shockwave HSN keeps backing out.

i was running my shockwave the other day and noticed the top and didnt have anything. i pulled it out and leaned out the HSN and out it back on the water and it worked perfectly. a few laps later it did it again. i did this 4 or 5 times before i just called it a day. is there anything i could do to fix this inconveniece?

You can look in the official S W thread. It is about 30 pages, maybe someone has heard of this.

Good luck

I'm thinking that something might be missing from behind the needle like a spring. One cobbled up cure might be to slip a large piece of fuel line over the needle and its body to keep it from moving.
I've had the same thing (kind of) happen on my .21 mono as it uses an ink pen type of clip to hold the needle from moving. If it wasn't tight against the needle, the vibrations would move it all over the place.

I don't have one of these engines, but from the pics I found online it looks like the type of needle setup that would have a small o-ring on the needle that would make contact with the needle body. The o-ring would prevent air from getting past the needle as well as providing some friction to prevent it from loosening while running.
